A baby was saved from the train tracks at the Anna Paulowna station in Noord-Holland after it somehow fell between a platform and a train. The train conductor managed to collect the baby from the narrow space while an engineer flagged down two police officers on duty in a squad car at the station, police said on Instagram.
“Immediately [we] jumped out of the car and went there,” one officer said. By the time the police arrived at the platform, the young child had been saved. Paramedics were also dispatched to the scene around 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday.

A 41-year-old man was arrested for strangling a female conductor on the train from Amsterdam to Haarlem on Thursday. He attacked the conductor after he pulled down his own pants and fondled his genitals, RTL Nieuws reports.
The man was traveling without a ticket. When the conductor noticed and addressed him on it, he pulled up his shirt, pulled down his pants and started fondling his genitals. The conductor stepped away to call for assistance, but the man grabbed her from behind and started to strangle her.

By acting quickly, a conductor on a Keolis Nederland train between Zwolle and Kampen prevented a ticket-less rider from killing himself on Wednesday night. The man was taken in by the police, AD reports.
Two conductors discovered that the man did not have a ticket to be on the train just before 8:00 p.m. When they told him the police would be called, he said something along the lines of "go ahead and kill me", witness Robbert-Jan Plaizier said to the newspaper.

A 23-year-old man from Almere and a 35-year-old woman from Drachten were arrested in Meppel on Sunday afternoon for assaulting a train conductor and a police officer, the Telegraaf reports.
During a ticket check on the train, the conductor found that the man was not traveling with a valid transport ticket - he had someone else's ticket and had scratched off the picture. And the woman had not checked in at the station. The man insulted and assaulted the conductor.
