NS conductor punched in the face
The police arrested a 18 year old man in Enkhuizen on Saturday for punching a NS conductor in the face.
On Saturday afternoon the suspect and his girlfriend boarded a train at the Bovenkarspel station. At around 15:00, as the train was approaching Enkhuizen, the 45 year old conductor came to check their tickets. An altercation arose as the suspect did not have a ticket. The suspect then punched the conductor hard in the face.
Another passenger intervened and separated the conductor and the suspect. The suspect ran off when the train came to a stop. The police searched the area, but found no trace of him.
Later on Saturday the suspect turned himself in at the police station and was arrested. When checking the suspect's details, the police found that there is still a four month prison sentence open against him for assault.
