A Dutch man was arrested in Spain on the suspicion that he was planning to have his ex-wife killed. He was caught out when his minor daughter found his plans for the murder on her smartphone, and warned her mother, RTL Nieuws reports.
A 40-year-old Dutch man was arrested in Great Britain last week after 35 kilograms of cocaine was found in his truck. The trucker was arrested in North Lincolnshire on Thursday after he and his truck arrived at the Hull port by ferry, RTL Nieuws reports.
The drugs were hidden in the truck's back doors. According to the local authorities, the cocaine has an estimated street value of around 3 million pounds, nearly 3.5 million euros.
The Dutch truck driver was arraigned and remanded into custody until June 7th, when he again has to appear in court.
A 53-year-old Dutch man was shot dead in an armed robbery on Curacao on Tuesday. Four masked and armed men robbed an apartment complex in the neighborhood of Schelpwijk, a few kilometers away from Willemstad, during the early hours of Tuesday morning, ANP reports.
The robbers first forced their way into one apartment, and injured an Asian man. They then broke open the door of another apartment, where they shot the Dutch man. According to the police, the Dutch man was killed with an aimed shot.
The robbers fled.
