Ajax fans made sure that the Tottenham Hotspur team did not get a good night's sleep by waking them at 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday with a firework show. The Amsterdam supporters posted a video on Twitter showing them lighting fireworks at the Van der Valk Hotel in Amsterdam Zuid, where the English team spent the night.

The hardcore group of Ajax supporters, the F-Side, set off a bunch of fireworks outside the Van der Valk Hotel-Amstel in Amsterdam during the early hours of Wednesday morning. The goal was to keep the Juventus players, who are staying in the hotel, awake ahead of the big match against Ajax on Wednesday.
"Welcome to Amsterdam", the F-Side wrote on Twitter, along with a video of the fireworks.

Advances in DNA identification techniques led to the identification of a body found in 2001 in Belgium. The body of Corrie van der Valk was buried in Philippeville, Belgium that same year. The 58-year-old woman was struck by a train near Namur, Belgium, and caused extensive damage as to make identification impossible at the time.
The Van der Valk family was notified of the discovery on Thursday. One of her relatives told the AD, "We are sad, but also relieved that there is now clarity after so many years."

The two men killed after falling from a crane in Zaltbommel on Tuesday are 53 year old Bart Vink and 61 year old Jos Relou, both from Someren. Remco van Bogget (24) was taken to the hospital with severe injuries. He is not in life threatening danger

A massive fight at the Van der Valk hotel on Energieweg in Rotterdam on Thursday night, was between rival biker gangs the Hell's Angels and the Mongols, the police reports. A total of 23 members of these two gangs were arrested, one of them injured in the leg.

A briefcase containing €175,000 was lost by the police in an undercover operation. Despite the briefcase having been fitted out with a tracking device, the money was still lost, the Telegraaf reports.
