Juventus players woken by early morning fireworks show, courtesy of Ajax supporters

The hardcore group of Ajax supporters, the F-Side, set off a bunch of fireworks outside the Van der Valk Hotel-Amstel in Amsterdam during the early hours of Wednesday morning. The goal was to keep the Juventus players, who are staying in the hotel, awake ahead of the big match against Ajax on Wednesday.

"Welcome to Amsterdam", the F-Side wrote on Twitter, along with a video of the fireworks.

Ajax and Juventus are facing off against each other in the quarterfinal of the Champions League on Wednesday. The match starts at 9:00 p.m. in the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam.

This is not the first time that Ajax supporters attempted to disrupt the sleep of the opposing team with fireworks, They did the same in February at the Okura Hotel, where Real Madrid was staying, according to NOS. Then the stunt did not work out well for them. Ajax lost the match 1-2.
