Customs officials in and around Rotterdam found a total of 775 kilograms of cocaine in three separate investigations. The busts all took place between Friday and Sunday, with authorities taking seven people into custody.
The Rotterdam police are looking for the person who misplaced a backpack on Witte de Withstraat on Friday night. The backpack contained multiple phones and a "a large amount of cocaine". The police invite the owner to come pick up his bag. "Come and visit the Doelwater police station", the Rotterdam police said on Twitter.
The police and customs officers in the port of Rotterdam made two large cocaine busts over the weekend. They found a total of 1,250 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a shipment of produce and a shipment of fruit concentrate, the police said in a statement on Tuesday.

The customs officer decided to dive underneath the ship after the seaport police received a report that something suspicious was detected during the maintenance of the ship. The diving team removed several large sports bags from under the ship. "The state of the bags showed that they have been in the water for a long time", the Persecutor said.

The reduction of the planned costs are due to a cheaper seawall. The chosen type of dike consists of a layer of pebbles and boulders instead of a thick layer of basalt, stone and asphalt. By making this choice they not only saved on construction costs but also maintenance will be cheaper.
