Emergency services responded to the pond on Elferinksweg just after 9:00 p.m. after receiving a report of a drowning, AD reports. The boy was taken out of the water and paramedics tried to revive him. But it was too late. He died at at the scene.

A 12-year-old boy was hurt on Friday when he fell off a footbridge and landed four meters below in a cave. The accident happened at an old bat cave at the Diergaarde Blijdorp, the zoo in Rotterdam.

The police fired shots at a stabbing incident at Amsterdam Central Station on Friday afternoon. A total of three people, two victims and the perpetrator, were taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
The incident happened in the west tunnel of the station. Witnesses told AT5 that two persons got into a fight on a platform in the station. The fight escalated and a knife was drawn. The police had to shoot to stop the suspect. The suspect was arrested and also taken to hospital.
