Four teenage boys were sentenced to between 80 and 160 hours of community service for assaulting a gay couple in Arnhem last year. On Monday the court in Arnhem ruled that it can not be proven that the teenagers attacked the couple with a homophobic motive, NU.nl reports.

The police arrested a 14-year-old boy from Dordrecht on Monday night on suspicion of involvement in in the town over the weekend.

Both victims were attacked shortly after meeting up with someone for a date made on dating app Grindr. The first victim was assaulted on Smitsweg during the early hours of Saturday morning. The second man managed to get away from his attackers on Schenkeldijk early on Sunday morning.

Two gay men were attacked in Dordrecht over the weekend shortly after meeting someone on a date made on dating app Grindr. One victim had to go to hospital for treatment. The second managed to flee before being injured. The police believe the men may have been attacked due to their sexual orientation and are investigating whether the two incidents are connected.

A 22-year-old man was attacked in Amsterdam West on New Year's Day by a group of men. They called him a "cancer faggot" and left him injured and with two broken teeth.

The victim was on his way to his bike after celebrating New Year's Eve at a friend's house in West. It was around 6 a.m. and the bike was parked near to the club De School. "While I was busy with my bike's chain, I heard a group of people behind shouting at me," the victim told Het Parool through his uncle, "They insulted me for being a faggot and then beat me up."

Two kissing women were assaulted on an Amsterdam street early on Tuesday morning. One of the victims is documentary maker Denise Kelm Soares, who is in the city for the documentary festival IDFA. She believes they were attacked because of their sexuality, Trouw reports.

A group of women went to the city center for a night out on Monday night and left a club early on Tuesday morning. The two women were attacked as they walked through the city around 4:00 a.m.

The police arrested three men suspected of violently assaulting two gay men in Amsterdam in June. The three are suspected of attempted murder or attempted manslaughter. The police expect to arrest a fourth suspect in the near future, ANP reports.

Five boys between the ages of 14 and 16 years will be prosecuted for earlier this year, the Public Prosecutor announced on Wednesday. The exact charges against them will be revealed soon. The teenagers have to appear in juvenile court on December 19th, ANP reports.

As the suspects are underage, their trial will largely be held behind closed doors. All five boys are from Arnhem.

From now on Amsterdam will always personally invite people victimized due to their sexual orientation in the city to the Gay Pride celebrations. A gay couple was hospitalized after being injured in what the Amsterdam police is considering a hate crime. The two men were walking in the Damrak, in Amsterdam city center, when four men attacked them, the police said in a statement..

The attack happened during the early hours of Sunday morning. The police are certain that the couple was attacked due to their sexuality. 

Investigators are working on identifying the perpetrators based on footage from several surveillance cameras in the area. They call on witnesses to come forward.

The police arrested a total of five teenagers, four girls and a boy, for at least two separate assaults on the Schouwburgplein in Rotterdam last week. The group of teens, 13, 14 and 15 years old, attacked a lesbian couple on Tuesday May 30th and another victim the following day, the police said in a statement.

The Amsterdam police are halting two investigations into attacks on homosexuals in the city due to a lack of new leads, Mayor Eberhard van der Laan said in a report to the city council. "Despite the high priority given to both cases, no suspects have come to light. Both cases have no new leads", the Amsterdam mayor wrote, Het Parool reports.

About 2 thousand people participated in a march against anti-LGBT violence through Amsterdam on Wednesday evening. The participants marched hand-in-hand from Dam Square to the Gay Monument at Westermarkt, ANP reports.
