The Netherlands will play against Germany in one of its qualifying matches for the UEFA Euro 2020. UEFA announced the groups for the qualifiers on Sunday. The Netherlands drew Germany, Northern Ireland, Estonia and Belarus.

The qualifiers will start on March 21st next year. The top two teams from each of the ten groups will qualify. An additional play-off will then determine the four remaining teams who will play in the tournament.

Amsterdam missed out on the chance to host the opening match of the UEFA Euro 2020, but the Dutch capital will play host to several Group C and Round of 16 matches during the European football championship. Bucharest, Romania was also named host of Group C matches, and it will also serve as a quarter-final location.

Rome's OIympic Stadium was selected by the European football federation as the site for the opening match. The Italian stadium is also a quarter-final site. The semi-finals and final of UEFA Euro 2020 will be held at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

Three 21-year-old Feyenoord fans were arrested in Naples during the early hours of Tuesday morning. The Dutch men are accused of throwing stones at police officers, among other things. They are in custody, NU.nl reports.

The Ajax team departed from Schiphol airport on Tuesday morning and is on their way to Stockholm, where the Amsterdam team is playing against Manchester United in the Europa League finals on Wednesday. Manchester United is also scheduled to travel to Stockholm today.

Tonight both teams will train in the Friends Arena, where the match will be played on Wednesday, NU.nl reports. After training coaches Peter Bosz and Jose Mourinho and a player for each team will give a press conference.

Despite playing the entire second half with a one-man advantage, the Dutch men's football team was knocked out of the 2016 European Championship after suffering a 3-2 defeat in Amsterdam against the Czech Republic. Oranje went down 1-0 on a goal by Pavel Kadeřábek in the 24th minute, and the Czech team never looked back.

Despite holding possession for over 60 percent of the match, the Dutch men’s football team could not buy a goal in Sunday’s match which saw a coordinated Turkey handily beat Orange 3-0. Turkey jumped to an early lead in the eighth minute on a goal by Oguzhan Ozyakup en route to victory in front of a raucuous home crowd at the Konya Torku Arena.

KNVB director Bert van Oostveen thinks that the only way to really reform FIFA is for Sepp Blatter to step down and to be replaced by a non-football-man. The public prosecutor's office in Rotterdam is leading a team of police investigators to find more people responsible for the riots that took place earlier this week in Rome. Police in Italy arrested at least 33 suspects, all of whom are supporters of Rotterdam football club Feyenoord.

Two exhibition matches of Dutch football teams last week in Spain might have been fixed games, according to the analyses of a gambling expert and the International Center for Sport Security (ICSS). Most likely the teams, ADO Den Hague and SC Heerenveen, were not aware of the score manipulation, the analysts state.
