The police arrested a 28-year-old man from Asten-Heusden on Tuesday afternoon on suspicion of raping an 18-year-old woman in the Noord-Brabant town during the early hours of Monday morning. The rape caused a great deal of unrest in the town.
An 18-year-old woman was dragged from her bicycle and raped by an as yet unidentified man on Kasteellaan in Heusden during the early hours of Monday morning. The police searched for the perpetrators for hours, but so far no arrests were made. The young woman's mother was the one who found her daughter after the attack, various sources told AD.
According to the police, the girl went out with friends in the center of Asten on Sunday night. She cycled home at around 1:00 a.m. At Kasteellaan, she was pulled from her bike, dragged into the bushes and raped, the police said.
The Tax authorities' investigative department FIOD caught three suspects selling brand-less beer as Heineken and Amstel. Eight businesses in Nijkerk, Putten, Rotterdam, Heusden and Linne were raided on Wednesday. So far no arrests were made, RTL Nieuws reports.
According to FIOD, the suspects bought brand-less beer from abroad, poured it into beer bottles and labeled them with Heineken and Amstel logos. They then sold them at higher prices.
