Explosive found at Amsterdam-West building

An explosive was found at the front door of a building on Jan Evertsenstraat in Amsterdam-West on Tuesday morning. The police closed off the street and explosive experts are on their way to disarm the device. What type of explosive is involved is not yet clear.

The police responded to the scene at 6:15 a.m., NU.nl reports. The street is closed between Hoofdweg and Rembrandtpark. The police are looking for witnesses.

In February an explosive was also found tied to the door of a shop on Jan Evertsenstraat. Then it was a hand grenade. Hand grenades were also found at club ABE, cafe In the City and cocktail bar Suzy Wong Lounge in Amsterdam this year and last.
