Spy shop Spy City Amsterdam on Moezelhavenweg was closed indefinitely by order of the municipality following an attempt to assassinate the shop's manager on Tuesday. According to Mayor Femke Halsema, the attempted murder "seriously disrupted" the "residential- and living climate" of the street and area, Het Parool reports.
The police arrested thee suspects for trying to assassinate a 31-year-old man from Alkmaar on an industrial estate on Moezelhavenweg near the A5 in Amsterdam on Tuesday morning. The victim, an employee of a spy shop, was beaten with a firearm, NOS reports.
The perpetrators actually wanted to shoot the victim, but their firearm malfunctioned and wouldn't fire. So they beat him with the firearm instead, before fleeing in a stolen Audi Q5. The Alkmaar man was seriously injured.
The police have identified the man killed in Huizen on Wednesday as a 59 year old man from Huizen. According to the police, so far the investigation has not revealed any indications that this murder is related to the series of gang related assassinations of past few years.

Spy Shop lawyer, Sander Jansen, is enraged about statements chief commissioner Aalbersberg made Thursday, in the program "Het Verhoor" on AT5, concerning the raid on Spy shop, One2spy in Amsterdam, Tuesday. Owner Farah el O. and twelve other suspects were arrested. Jansen was not allowed to discuss the case with anyone, but after "Het Verhoor" aired, the restrictions were immediately lifted.
