The residents of a home in Schiedam had a very unexpected guest during the early hours of Monday morning. A stranger came into their home and took a shower. The police eventually removed the man from the shower, the police said on Twitter.

The police responded to the home after a report of a stranger standing in front of the home. When they arrived at the scene, the man was already inside and taking a shower.

Officers took him out of the shower and out of the home, and "guided him to his own bathroom", the police said.

How the man got into the home, is not clear.

A sand dune in the Sahara desert
Apr 9 '18 14:00

There's a good chance that sand from the Sahara desert will fall on the Netherlands together with rain showers on Monday afternoon and evening, various weather services expect.

A large cloud of sand blew over Europe this past weekend, and is currently hanging above the Netherlands. As long as it remains dry, the presence of the desert sand is only noticeable in unusually colorful sunrises and sunsets, according to Weeronline. But if it starts raining, people in the Netherlands may notice a layer of sand on their cars and garden furniture.
