The Scotsman disappeared early Saturday morning when he left a friend's flat on Rechtboomssloot to go for a walk and clear his head.

A plan to encourage sex workers in Amsterdam's famed Red Light District to develop their chosen profession in a more entrepreneurial fashion by managing their own brothel took a big step forward after a feasibility study conducted by the city showed a good likelihood of success. A court judge has ruled in favor of a municipality when the judge imposed a 24,000 euro fine on a man and his adult son after renting out their property via Airbnb. A district court in Amsterdam concluded that travel price comparison website Skyscanner was rightfully found in violation of the Dutch Advertising Code Foundation (SRC) for publishing inaccurate prices from travel agent Govolo. The complaint was issued in September 2013 when the SRC determined that Govolo would later add “booking costs” on top of an airfare price shown to Skyscanner users.

The leader of the motorcycle gang No Surrender's Amsterdam branch, Brian Dalfour, was found killed in a small house in the remote Noord-Brabant village of Wagenberg, the gang announced on Facebook. Police arrested a 39-year-old Belgian man and an unidentified 46-year-old man with no fixed address in connection with the murders of Dalfour and Muljaim Nadzak, 34, from Macedonia.
