Cyclist hit by police van in Rotterdam; Woman seriously hurt

A cyclist was injured in Rotterdam during the early hours of Monday morning when she was hit by a police van on Hofplein. The woman was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, Rijnmond reports.

The accident happened just after midnight. Photos from the scene show a massive dent and hole in the windshield of the police vehicle.

The cause of the accident is not yet know. The police are investigating.
