Woman, dog killed in hit-and-run in Rotterdam

A woman and her dog were killed in a hit-and-run accident on Gordelweg in Rotterdam-Noord on Monday evening. The woman was walking her dog. They were hit by a car when they crossed the road, RTL Nieuws reports.

Emergency services tried to resuscitate the woman, but it was to no avail. She died at the scene. Her dog also did not survive the accident.

The driver left the scene after hitting the woman and her dog, but he was arrested later in the evening.

So far nothing is known about the victim's identity.
