A 38-year-old employee of the Netherlands Forensic Institute was arrested on Monday. She is suspected of manipulating her own blood samples in order to hide that she was driving under the influence of alcohol, the Public Prosecutor announced.
A body was found in a home on Tomatenstraat in Leiden on Sunday. Two people were arrested in connection with the discovery, the Telegraaf reported.

Eighteen year old Ellen Drost from Pesse was found dead in a trench in the Drenthe town of Spier on Sunday. She was reported missing after not returning home from a barn party on Saturday night. A 24-year-old motorist was arrested on Sunday afternoon. He went to a police station to report that he hit "something" with his car the previous night, AD reports.
The body of the girl was found on De Steegde in Spier, around three kilometers from her home. A passerby spotted the body and called the police. She was identified a short time later.
A 31-year-old man from Schiedam was arrested following the discovery of a woman's body in a watery ditch in Vlaardingen on Friday morning. The police started looking for the woman after she was reported missing, the Telegraaf reports. Whether the woman was murdered, is still unclear.
A fugitive member of the Italian mafia was arrested on Waterlooplein in Amsterdam on September 7th. The man involved is Gioacchino B., according to newspaper AD. He's been involved in drug trafficking in the Netherlands for years.
The 33-year-old man is wanted by the Italian authorities in connection with membership of the ‘Ndrangheta, a powerful branch of the mafia in South Italy, according to the newspaper. He is also wanted for drug trafficking.
Two suspects were arrested in Breda on Monday after the authorities intercepted 3,800 kilograms of cocaine in the port of Antwerp. The suspects are a 56-year-old man from Oosterhout and a 39-year-old man from Roosendaal, the Dutch police said in a statement.
The cocaine was found in a sea container during a customs check at the port of Antwerp over the weekend. The drugs were hidden among a load of bananas from Columbia. According to the police, the cocaine has a street value of 100 million euros.
A 23-year-old woman was arrested in Tilburg just after midnight on Wednesday for assaulting a police officer. The Tilburg woman tried to prevent the arrest of her boyfriend by putting the officer in a chokehold and trying to poke her fingers into his eyes, the police said in a statement.

A gunshot was fired during a road rage incident in the Rotterdam neighborhood of Crooswijk on Monday, the police said in a statement on Tuesday.
The drivers of two cars became annoyed at each other in Kralingse Bos for an unknown reason. On Boezemstraat, the two drivers decided to fight it out. At one point a third man, a 34-year-old from Rotterdam, got out of one of the cars and joined the fight. Several blows were dealt before one of the men pulled out a firearm and fired it into the air. No one was injured by the gunshot.
A total of 32 people were arrested during demonstrations in Enschede by extreme right-wing collaboration group Fortress Europe, which includes Pegida, and anti-fascist groups No-Hogesa and AFA on Sunday. All but one of the detainees were released from custody during the course of the day, ANP reports.

A car crashed into a home in the Noord-Brabant village of Luyksgestel on Sunday morning, crashing through the wall exactly where resident, 75-year-old Harrie van der Heijden, was sleeping at the time. According to the broadcaster, the man in question was one of two arrested for stealing expensive jewelry from homes in Belgium. Both suspects managed to escape police custody when they were set to appear in court. They attacked a police officer in front of the court and took off, still wearing their handcuffs.
The police arrested a 45-year-old man from Eindhoven on Thursday following the discovery of a large number of firearms in a storage box in the city. The man rented the storage box in which the weapons were found.
The weapons were discovered during an investigation into a drug lab the police dismantled on Heydaalweg in Eindhoven on July 7th. The drug lab was located in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Two suspects were arrested that same day, suspected of involvement in the drug lab. Over 200 thousand ecstasy pills were found in the home.
The police found 189 kilograms of cocaine in a home in Amsterdam on Tuesday. The 42-year-old man was arrested and is in custody for further investigation, the police announced in a statement.
In addition to the cocaine, the police also found 19 thousand euros in cash and 1.5 kilograms of amphetamine in the man's home.

Press photographer Chris Keulen was arrested in Limburg on Sunday for refusing to hand over his camera and photos to the police, ANP reports. This happened while he was reporting on noise problems caused by NATO aircraft.
Keulen took photos of a local activist and an American soldier in civilian clothing coming to blows during an argument near the NATO base Geilenkirchen. After the fight, Keulen went to the police station to give a witness statement. He was asked to hand over his photos, but he refused, appealing to press freedom.

A body was found "under suspicious circumstances" in an apartment on Bolestein in Amsterdam-Zuid on Sunday afternoon, the Amsterdam police said on Twitter. A suspect was arrested and the police are investigating what happened, according to ANP.
The police went to check the apartment after receiving a report that there was a deceased person in the home.
On Sunday night, the police could not yet comment on the identity of the victim or his or her relationship with the suspect.
The police arrested a truck driver in Hoevelaken on Wednesday night after a body was found in the hold of his truck. He is suspected of human trafficking, NOS reports.
The body was discovered while the truck was being unloaded at De Wel industrial park. The police can't yet say how the man died. His identity is also still unknown.
The truck driver is a 50-year-old foreigner, according to the police.
The Dutch police struggle to catch ATM bombers, newspaper AD reports based on its own investigation. Last year there were 79 ATM bombings in the Netherlands, but only two perpetrators were convicted, according to the newspaper. Police officers shot a man in the leg in Hallum, Friesland on Sunday. The man was threatening his neighbors with a chainsaw in a quarrel, AD reports.
Officers responding to a report of a neighbor quarrel, found the man in his house. He grabbed his chainsaw. According to the police, he wanted to attack his neighbors.
The police ordered the man to put the weapon down, but he ignored them. An officer had to shoot him in the leg. The wounded man was taken to hospital for treatment.
A 14-year-old boy who was taking his parents car on a joyride, crashed into a kebab shop in Zandvoort on Thursday night. One man, who was inside the shop at the time, was injured. The shop sustained massive amounts of damage, NOS reports.
The boy and an underage passenger were on a joy ride in they boy's parents' car when a police car started following him. At a fork in the road the boy seemed to lose control of the car, drove straight across the sidewalk and crashed into the shop.
The boy was arrested and taken to the police station. Both he and his passenger were unhurt.
