Boy, 17, crashes into police vehicle with stolen car

A 17-year-old boy was arrested during the early hours of Friday morning after he crashed a stolen car into a police vehicle on Zeeburgerdijk in Amsterdam. He is facing charges of attempted murder or manslaughter, the Amsterdam police said on Twitter.

Police officers started chasing the stolen car from Van Baerlestraat in Amsterdam Zuid at around 3:30 a.m. On Zeeburgerdijk, the teenager crashed the stolen car into a police vehicle.

The boy "vehemently" resisted arrest, the police said.

Whether the police officer in the car or the boy sustained any injuries, the police did not say.
