Child, 5, killed in fire in Arnhem caravan park

A 5-year-old child was killed in a fire in a caravan park on Ir. Molsweg in Arnhem on Wednesday morning. The fire started in a caravan in which the child's family was staying. The fire brigade responded to the park around 8:15 a.m., De Gelderlander reports.

Four other members of the family were removed from the burning caravan and treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. The child died on the way to the hospital, according to the emergency services.

The caravan was completely on fire inside, according to the newspaper. Surrounding residents were evacuated.

Four ambulances and a trauma helicopter were deployed to the scene.
