The growth in sales of sustainable heating methods is leveling off, while traditional central heating boilers are still in high demand. The share of boilers in new buildings even increased significantly, according to a report by environmental organization Natuur & Milieu and grid managers Stedin and Alliander, ANP reports.
Dutch grid managers expect that they will not be able to afford their part of the energy transition from 2030. They receive too little money, because the Dutch authority on consumers and markets ACM wants to keep the rates low, Enexis, Alliander and Stedin said to the Financieele Dagblad on Monday.

A power outage in and around Vinkeveen and Loosdrecht brought train traffic between Amsterdam and Utrecht to a standstill for some time on Monday night. The train traffic is now back on track and NS reports no delays between the two cities.

The Hague and Zeist had to deal with a massive power outage on Friday morning. Nearly 12 thousand homes were effected in the Zeist area. Power has once again been restored in Zeist, but many people in the Hague are still without electricity.
Utrecht debuted a new type of charging stations on Tuesday - charging stations that can provide solar power for electric cars, or withdraw current from car batteries to provide power to nearby homes.
A large power outage left over 19,000 households without power on Tuesday afternoon in Utrecht province and Noord-Holland, according to electricity grid operator Stedin. The electricity issue means fewer trains will run between Utrecht and Amersfoort, Amsterdam, Baarn and Hilversum the NS said.
Thousands of Leusden residents were without power for a while on Christmas Eve. Over 3,300 residents had to deal with a power failure due to a broken cable from 20:30 last night.
