Two customers and an employee were injured at the IKEA in Haarlem on Saturday after they used what they thought was hand sanitizer at the entrance. Instead of hand sanitizer, the bottle turned out to contain something much stronger.
Six weeks after closing due to the coronavirus crisis, the IKEA stores in the Netherlands are reopening on Tuesday. The company is taking extra measures to protect staff and customers against Covid-19, NOS reports.
Only a certain number of customers will be allowed in at the same time. People are allowed to shop in pairs, but no more than that. And plexiglass screens were placed at checkout and customer service counters.

Considerable damage was done to an IKEA store on Hullenbergweg in Amsterdam Zuidoost when thieves tried to blow open an ATM on Friday morning, AT5 reports.

More than 18 thousand people have signed up to play hide-and-seek in the IKEA store in Eindhoven on May 16th, according to the Facebook page "Versoppertje in de Ikea Eindhoven". This seemed to worry the store, who put a stop to the event.
