The police arrested rapper Makka from Zwolle for faking an attempted assassination on himself. He is accused of "provoking public violence", weapon possession, and making a false declaration, RTV Oost reports.

The police arrested a 26-year-old taxi driver in a parking garage on Amstelstraat in Amsterdam on Sunday morning. The man had a firearm in his possession, was under the influence of alcohol, and did not have a valid driver's license, Het Parool reports.

Patrolling police officers heard shouts coming from the parking garage at around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday and went to check it out. When they saw the taxi driver standing there with a firearm on him, the man was immediately arrested. One of the cops was slightly injured in the arrest.

A man from Schiedam was remanded to 30 days in custody on Tuesday. He was arrested earlier this month for threatening to commit a terrorist attack following the death of PVV city councilor in The Hague Willie Dille, ANP reports.

The police fired a warning shot on Stationplein in front of Amsterdam Central Station while arresting two men after a report of firearm possession on Monday afternoon, AD reports.

The police received the report around 4:30 p.m. It said that two men were seen at the station with a firearm. Two suspects, aged 21 and 48 years, were arrested after a warning shot was fired. No firearm was found on them, but they were still in custody on Monday night, according to the newspaper.

The police found to sports bags containing 1.5 million euros in cash in a home on Whijnhaven in Rotterdam on Wednesday. The police searched the home after receiving an anonymous tip regarding firearm possession. A 37 year old Rotterdam resident was arrested.

The 35 year old Rotterdam resident M.M.A. has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for shooting a man and threatening another man with a firearm in a busy Rotterdam metro station.

Police patrolling the Zuidplein Mall in Rotterdam shot a 25-year-old man on Thursday evening after he tried to escape from them. The Hoogvliet man was shot once in the leg, and was taken to an area hospital.

The police received a tip that the man was carrying a firearm. When police approached the man he took off running. One officer shot at the escaping suspect.

A gun was found on the wounded man's body before he was taken to a hospital.

The State Investigation Department is investigating the case.
