Over 1.5 million seized in Rotterdam weapons investigation

The police found to sports bags containing 1.5 million euros in cash in a home on Whijnhaven in Rotterdam on Wednesday. The police searched the home after receiving an anonymous tip regarding firearm possession. A 37 year old Rotterdam resident was arrested. The police also conducted a further investigation in the suspect's home which led them to an apartment on Mauritsweg in Rotterdam. There they found a large cannabis plantation consisting of about 700 plants. The plantation was destroyed. No one was present in the apartment. The investigation continues.
