A member of outlaw motorcycle gang Satudarah was arrested in Geleen on Wednesday morning, the police announced in a statement. He is suspected of aggravated assault and extortion.

The assault happened in 2015. According to the police, the 31-year-old man attacked a woman in her Geleen home. She sustained serious injuries. The police believe that the victim and her husband was extorted by the motorcycle gang for some time before the assault. 

Why this arrest was made some two years after the crime is not clear.

The police believe that more arrests will follow.

Dutch man Jelle F. was sentenced on appeal to 18 years in prison for t in a Delhaize supermarket in Antwerp two years ago, ANP reports.

The sentence is the same as when F. first stood trial. Unlike the first trial however, the appeal judge did not find F. guilty of attempted murder, but of extortion and torture. According to the court, it is not clear that F. wanted to kill his victim.

According to the police, the suspects forced their victims to pay them large amounts of money or they would make their sexual exploits public. Two men were also assaulted.

The police arrested six people in connection with the kidnapping of a 53-year-old man in the small Dutch town of Nunspeet in December. The arrests were made on Wednesday, the police said in a statement. So far no information was released about the motive for the kidnapping.

The suspects are two men from Breda age 50 and 29, two from Tilburg age 36 and 30, a 59-year-old from Rotterdam and a 67-year-old man from Alphen aan den Rijn. Seven homes in Breda, Tilburg, Oss, Rotterdam and Alphen aan den Rijn were raided. A number of items were seized, including two firearms.

The former leader of motorcycle gang No Surrender, , was arrested from his bed in Bergen op Zoom on Friday morning, his lawyer Louis de Leon confirmed to Omroep Brabant. This arrest comes only four days after he was released from custody on Monday. His righthand man Janus de V. was also arrested, according to the broadcaster.

C. is suspected of convincing dozens of underage girls to undress in front of their webcam and then blackmailing them with the footage. On Thursday night the police raided the Hells Angels clubhouse on Baljuwslaan and arrested a total of 10 people. The suspects include nine men and one woman. According to the police, the 9 men make up the entire Haarlem chapter of the outlaw motorcycle gang, ANP reports.

The men are aged between 35 and 64 years and come from Haarlem, Leiden, Gouda, Alkmaar and IJmuiden. They are all suspected of participation in a criminal organization. Some are also suspected of extortion, threats, violence and arson.

The Dutch authorities are still struggling to break into an encrypted hard drive belonging to suspected webcam pedophile Aydin C. The Tilburg man is on trial for blackmailing dozens of underage girls after he convinced them to strip in front of their webcams, NOS reports.

The Public Prosecutor believes that much evidence can be found on the hard drive, if only they could break into it. The authorities have been trying to do so for three years. C. denies that the hard drive belongs to him, he says it's a friend's.
