A freight train collided with a truck in northern Limburg on Tuesday morning. The accident happened at a railway crossing near Colombusweg, between Blerick and Sevenum. No one was injured. No train traffic will be possible between Eindhoven and Venlo for the rest of the day, ProRail expects, ANP reports.

Dutch pilots union VNV and union FNV is calling for a European blacklist for passengers who cause serious problems on flights. According to a report by the Environment and Transport Inspectorate, the number of reports of misbehaving passengers increased by 262 to 985 in 2016, the Telegraaf reports.

Fourteen of the incidents last year had a direct impact on a flight and in three cases the plane had to change course or return. There were incidents involving drunk young people urinating in the cabin and having sex on board the plane, according to the newspaper.

The Environment and Transport Inspectorate issued a 10 thousand euro fine to a taxi driver at Schiphol airport on Saturday night. He was caught drivng passengers around using someone else's taxi license, Het Parool reports.

This fine was part of a large scale taxi inspection the Inspectorate did at the airport on Saturday. A number of fines were also handed out to taxi drivers who had gone too long without taking a break. To ensure road safety, taxi drivers have to take mandatory rest time.

The quality of Dutch consumer fireworks seems to be slipping. A quarter of the fireworks tested in 2016 did not meet the safety requirements, according to the Environment and Transport Inspectorate. That is slightly more than in previous years, the Volkskrant reports.

Online store Bol.com has to stop selling fireworks, because it is illegal to send fireworks by post. The online store removed all fireworks from its website after a reminder from the Environment and Transport Inspectorate, AD reports.

According to the newspaper, about 225 different types of fireworks were for sale on Bol.com, ranging from sparklers to fireworks packages. But the Inspectorate does not differentiate between types of fireworks - no fireworks may be sent by post, a spokesperson said to AD.

Dozens of taxis were fined at Schiphol airport on Thursday for violations ranging from parking in the wrong place to not having the proper papers. The municipality of Haarlemmermeer, the Koninklijke Marechaussee and the Environment and Transport Inspectorate are teaming up to tackle inappropriate behavior by taxis, according to NOS.

Antisocial passengers are causing more and more problems on planes, according to th Environment and Transport Inspectorate. In the first three quarters of this year the Inspectorate received 723 reports of antisocial behavior. That is the same number as in all of 2015, AD reports.

The most common problems are smoking in the plane with 38 percent of the complaints, antisocial behavior with 35 percent and alcohol with 27 percent of complaints having to do with intoxicated passengers.

Alternative taxi service Uber paid 450 thousand euros in fines on behalf of UberPOP drivers caught working as unlicensed cab drivers in the Netherlands. It is very easy to buy loads of much cheaper fireworks in Germany and smuggle it back to the Netherlands if you time it right. There are hardly any police checks during shit change between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., Dutch newspaper AD reports after speaking with several people who did just that.

The company Uber has to stop the taxi service UberPOP. The Board of Appeals for businesses has determined that drivers transporting people in their own car for a fee with UberPOP, do so illegally if they do not have a taxi license.
