Dutch-Moroccan man Mahmoud El Hajaji was arrested in the Moroccan city of Tangier on Friday for having "suspicious books" with him. He was released again on Saturday afternoon after seven hours of interrogation, NOS reports.

El Hajaji was in Morocco to visit his sick father. He was arrested while traveling through Tangier on his way back to Europe, because of "suspicious books" he was told. But during the police questioning, it turned out that his arrest was not about suspicious books at all, according to the broadcaster.

A new reporting point was established for Dutch-Moroccans to report racial abuse, religious abuse or any form of intimidation and threats. Reports to Rif Alert! can be made by mail or their , ANP reports.

A massive 40 percent of Dutch-Turks and Dutch-Moroccans don't feel at home in the Netherlands, according to a study by social and cultural planning office SCP. They are particularly concerned about their employment prospects in the country and regularly experience discrimination, Het Parool reports. 

The SCP analyzed multiple other studies in preparation for the upcoming parliamentary election and came to this conclusion.

Traditionally the Dutch labor party PvdA could count on most of the votes from minorities living in the Netherlands, but that no longer seems to be the matter of course, according to a unique survey by EtnoBarometer. Many voters with immigrant backgrounds will instead vote for new party DENK in this election. And the PVV is surprisingly popular among Dutch-Surinamese voters, being the second most popular party in this population group, AD reports.

The survey was done by market researcher Aziz El Kaddouri among 1792 ethnic minority voters.

About 40 Dutch-Moroccans had the chance to demand compensation from Geert Wilders in court on Monday as the continued. According to the aggrieved parties, Wilders is responsible for the acceptance of discrimination in the Netherlands, AD reports.

The Moroccan ambassador to The Netherlands, Abdelouahab Bellouki, has said that he will file an official complaint against the police in The Hague for their aggressive actions against Dutch Moroccans in the Schilderswijk neighborhood, the NOS reports.

Not dozens but hundreds of youths are in this web of drug dealers, gunmen, executers and facilitators. This group is tied to at least six executions and several extremely violent robberies in The Netherlands and in Antwerp, according to a police investigation.
