Michael P., the man suspected of raping and killing Anne Faber, will also be prosecuted for assaulting three employees of the Pieter Baan Center. The assaults happened in February, NU.nl reports.

P. was admitted to the Pieter Baan Center for a mental health assessment. One morning in February, he assaulted one employee. That evening he attacked two others.

The purchase of a train ticket does not entitle you to a seat, the court in Utrecht ruled in a lawsuit filed by ConsumentenClaim against Dutch rail company NS. According to the court, a ticket only entitles you to transport. "That result is also achieved. The way in which the transport takes place is not determined by law", the judge said, NOS reports.

The Public Prosecutor is making another attempt to ban motorcycle club Hells Angels. The Prosecutor considers the Hells Angels to be an outlaw motorcycle gang whose members believe themselves above the law, NOS reports.

Along with a request to the civil court in Midden-Nederland to ban and dissolve the Hells Angels in the Netherlands, the Prosecutor submitted a file of hundreds of pages describing the criminal activities of the club and its members.

On Tuesday the court sentenced Freddy D. to 10 years in prison and institutionalized psychiatric treatment for killing his 12-year-old stepdaughter Djamila Marissen from Hoogeveen last year, NU.nl reports.

According to the court, D. killed Djamila to prevent being caught sexually abusing her. He was convicted of manslaughter and child sex abuse.

Volkert van der Graaf, the man who murdered populist politician Pim Fortuyn in 2002, no longer has to report to the probation service every six weeks, the court in The Hague ruled on Tuesday. Van der Graaf filed summary proceedings asking the court to lift this obligation so that he can emigrate abroad, NU.nl reports.

The Roermond resident's gender on these documents should be adjusted to "gender can not be determined", according to the court, RTL Nieuws reports.

The court in Utrecht found 59-year-old Henk K. from Bunschoten-Spakenburg guilty of abusing his own children and sentenced him to two years in prison. He is also not allowed to contact 14 of his children and grandchildren, NU.nl reports.

Henk K. and his wife Diana have 19 children. The parents are very religious and strict in their upbringing. In 2016 a number of the children pressed charges against their father, saying that he systematically abused them for years.

The municipality of Amsterdam refused to give hamburger chain Five Guys permission to open a shop in a building on Reguliersbreestraat. According to the municipality, the zoning plan for the building does not allow a snack bar or fast food chain, NU.nl reports. 

Five Guys is willing to change its concept to meet Amsterdam's requirements. These include there being no over the counter sales, the building must have sufficient seating and its policy may not be to get customers out as quickly as possible after eating.

An 18-year-old autistic girl is no longer allowed to enter the school grounds or -building of Rombouts College in Brunssum, Limburg. If she does show up at the school, she will be fined 100 euros each time, to a maximum of 10 thousand euros, the court in Maastricht ruled on Wednesday, De Limburger reports.

The court in Amsterdam banned a planned noise protest during the National Commemoration of World War II victims on Amsterdam's Dam Square on Friday, Remembrance Day.

Interim Amsterdam mayor Jozias van Aartsen also banned the noise protest by action group Geen 4 mei voor mij. Initiator Rogier Meijerink hoped that the court would overturn this ban. But the court ruled against him, RTL Nieuws reports.

The Amsterdam municipality and police are taking into account that there may be counter-actions to a noise protest during the National Commemoration of World War II victims on Dam Square on Friday. Both members of the Moluccan community and veterans are furious that action group Geen 4 mei voor mij is planning to disrupt the commemoration, according to the Telegraaf.

We Are Here, a group of failed asylum seekers in Amsterdam, can stay in the buildings they squatted on Rudolf Dieselstraat until June 1st. Until then, they will not be evicted, the court ruled on Thursday, NOS reports.

The group of around 60 failed asylum seekers squatted the buildings over Easter. The buildings, belonging to housing association Ymere, are set to be demolished. The Public Prosecutor gave the group eight weeks to leave.

A 41-year-old man suspected of murdering and dismembering his partner, yoga instructor Julia Leda, in Scheveningen, must go to the Pieter Baan Center for psychiatric examination, the court ruled during the first hearing in this case on Wednesday, ANP reports.

It was also revealed in court that the man, Andrei K. from Russia, wanted to commit suicide when the police showed up at his house on January 11th.

Ten year old Diego, who was found murdered in his father's home in Dordrecht last year, wrote a letter before he died, his father's lawyer revealed in court on Thursday. Father Marcel S. is suspected of killing the boy, AD reports.

Diego's body was found in his father's house on Jan Vethkade in March last year. He was strangled to death. The letter was found in the garden of that same house, the lawyer said.

Jesse D. wanted to commit 'suicide by cop' when he walked around with a toy gun in the center of Doetinchem in August last year, was revealed in the court in Zutphen on Friday. The 22-year-old man was shot three times by the police, but survived the incident, De Gelderlander reports.

The Prosecutor demanded 258 days in prison and institutionalized psychiatric treatment with conditions against the man on Friday.

Four teenage boys were sentenced to between 80 and 160 hours of community service for assaulting a gay couple in Arnhem last year. On Monday the court in Arnhem ruled that it can not be proven that the teenagers attacked the couple with a homophobic motive, NU.nl reports.
