No trains running between Rotterdam, Den Haag HS as railworks take longer than expected

No trains are running between Rotterdam and The Hague during rush hour this morning. Railworks that happened over the weekend took longer than expected. There will be no train traffic between Den Haag Hollands Spoor and Delft stations until at least 9:00 a.m., NS reported.

On X, ProRail reported that multiple issues were identified on the route after the railworks. “As a result, no train traffic is possible between Rotterdam and Den Haag HS,” the rail manager said. “This also affects other routes. We advise you to use a travel planner.”

ProRail halted train traffic on the route over the weekend to work on the tracks. It hoped to have trains back up and running by 7:15 a.m. on Monday, but that proved impossible. “We are trying to fix this quickly,” ProRail said.

NS warned that the disruption will lead to crowded trains on other routes, such as between Schiphol and Rotterdam Central Station and around The Hague. The Dutch rail company advised travelers to use alternative transport.
