Railworks to cause issues on Rotterdam-The Hague route for two weeks
Railworks on the track between Rotterdam Central Station and Den Haag Hollands Spoor (HS) will cause issues on this route for 14 days, NS and ProRail warned. No or fewer trains will run on the route from today until November 4. NS urged travelers to keep an eye on the travel planner.
No night trains will run on the route for the duration of the work. There will also be no trains between Rotterdam Central Station and Delft Campus for a large part of the coming weeks. NS is running buses between Rotterdam CS and Delft instead.
The rail company advised travelers to travel via Gouda, warning that this would add up to 45 minutes to the travel time. During the rail works, train tickets on the Rotterdam CS - Den Haag HS route will also be valid in the metro.
ProRail also warned that, due to the disruption to NS trains, RandstadRail’s metro line E will likely be very crowded in the coming two weeks. The rail manager advised travelers between Rotterdam CS and Den Haag HS to use other metro lines or alternative transport.
