Chilly, but sunny weekend ahead for Netherlands
The Netherlands is in for a chilly, but not unpleasant weekend, Weeronline expects. A winter coat is advisable if you plan on spending time outside, but the days will be mostly dry and have room for sunshine.
Friday will have regular sunshine intermixed with a few showers, especially in the north. Afternoon temperatures will climb to around 13 degrees.
Saturday will start quite cold, with thermometers still hovering around 5 degrees by 8:00 a.m. “Fortunately, the wind will be weak and the sun will gradually warm up the air during the morning.” Maximums will be around 14 degrees with a weak to moderate wind.
Cloud cover will increase during the afternoon, but it should remain dry until the evening. Overnight, several showers will cross the country from the North Sea.
By Sunday morning, most of the showers will have moved into Germany, but the east and the north may still see some rainfall. The day will be a mix of sunshine and clouds. Maximums will be around 13 degrees, but a moderate to fairly strong northwesterly wind will make it feel colder.
Next week will see daily showers and room for sunshine. The wind will blow from the south, which brings relatively mild air into the country. Maximums will likely climb to around 18 degrees during the week. Some places may even see thermometers hit 20 degrees.
