Summery Easter weather drew 200,000 to Keukenhof
The past days' summery weather resulted in a very successful Easter weekend for Keukenhof. Over 200 thousand people visited the flower park over the past weekend. A great deal more than the 80 thousand visitors the park received last Easter, when Easter weekend fell almost a month earlier and temperatures were a lot colder, NU.nl reports.
"The combination of the beautiful flowering park, the flowering bulb fields in the region and the sunny weather resulted in Keukenhof having extremely busy Easter days", director Bart Siemerink said. 80 percent of visitors came from abroad, though Dutch were still the largest visitor group compared to other nationalities.
The park was so crowded, in fact, that Keukenhof had to call on visitors to rather come to the park on a non-Easter day.
