Biker gang links media attacks to murder of key witness' brother: report

One of the men arrested in connection with the murder of Reduan B., brother to Nabil B. - a key witness in a number of Utrecht and Amsterdam assassination cases, is a member of te Caloh Wagoh Main Triad motorcycle club. The suspect arrested for firing a rocket launcher at the building housing Panorama and Nieuwe Revu in Amsterdam last week, is also a member of this club, a source told the Telegraaf.

The Public Prosecutor partly confirmed this. "We have indications that there are links between the suspect in the assassination case and the motorcycle club Caloh Wagoh", a spokesperson said to the newspaper. The suspect involved is a 34-year-old man from The Hague. He is suspected of firearm possession.

The Hague man's background indicates a possible link between the attacks on De Telegraaf and Panorama and Nieuwe Revu and Reduan B.'s murder. The man arrested for the attack on Panorama and Nieuwe Revue is a local leader of Caloh Wagoh, according to the newspaper.

Reduan B. was assassinated at his company in Amsterdam in March. This happened less than a week after it became known that his brother Nabil agreed to be a key witness in multiple cases surrounding assassinations and attempted assassinations in Amsterdam and Utrecht.

Following the attack on De Telegraaf building on Tuesday, the Amsterdam authorities decided to provide a number of editorial offices in the city extra security, mainly focusing on news sources that regularly report on organized crime.
