Dutch aid workers from foundation Bootvluchteling are in hiding after they were attacked on the Greek island of Lesbos. "During an evacuation of colleagues in the [refugee] camp, we were driven into a kind of trap. We were attacked with steel tubes and our cars were attacked," one aid worker said to NOS.

"It is currently not safe as an aid worker on Lesbos", the aid worker, who asked to remain anonymous for their own safety, said to the broadcaster.

The Dutch government understands why the United States assassinated Iranian general Qassem Soleimani in an attack in Baghdad on Friday, but the attack did give rise to a much more complicated situation, Defense Minister Ank Bijleveld said in the first episode of talk show Op1 on Monday night, NU.nl reports.

"If you look at what Iran has done and what Soleimani is, he is of course no saint. That was a real crook", Bijleveld said. According to the Defense Minister, Soleimani as the leader of the Shiite militias can be held responsible for "terrible" things that happened in Syria.

A firework bomb exploded at the home of a Jewish family in Hippolytushoef last week - the latest of dozens of anti-Semitic incidents targeted at the family over the past 20 years, according to father Wouter Schmidt. The municipality of Hollands Kroon, which covers Hippolytushoef, is investigating whether a group of young people may be responsible for the harassment, NH Nieuws reports.

At least two of the ten men suspected of involvement in an attack on the Amsterdam building of newspaper De Telegraaf last year, were also involved in two murders, the Public Prosecutor said in the first introductory hearing for the case around the Telegraaf attack on Thursday, NU.nl reports.

A Dutch ship rescued the crew of one of two burning oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman on Thursday, the Dutch shipping company Acta Marine from Den Helder confirmed to NOS after reports in the Telegraaf. There were explosions on two oil tankers in the Gulf region on Thursday. The cause of the explosions has not yet been officially confirmed, but the general belief is that they were attacks.

One of the suspects in an attack on media outlet Panorama in Amsterdam last year, partially confessed to his role in the attack. During the trial against the three suspects on Monday, 26-year-old Mike van den B. told the court that he was there when a rocket launcher was fired at the building on Teleportboulevard in Amsterdam-Sloterdijk, but that he didn't know that it was going to happen, AD reports.

The Amsterdam police arrested suspects at various locations on Monday morning in the ongoing investigation into an attack on the building housing newspaper De Telegraaf in June last year. More details will be released during the course of the day, the police said on Twitter.

The Iranian government called the Dutch ambassador in the country to account after an attack on a military parade in the city of Ahvaz on Friday morning. One of the groups that claimed the attack, the Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Al-Ahwaz (ASMLA) can be found on the Dutch Chamber of Commerce and is based in Delft, NOS reports.

The Lingewaard town hall, located in Bemmel, will be closed for months due to damage sustained when a car carrying two gas bottles crashed into it during the early hours of Wednesday morning. The public hall and areas behind the counters were destroyed, the Telegraaf reports.

A car crashed into the town hall of Lingewaard, located in the Gelderland village of Bemmel, during the early hours of Wednesday morning. The car contained two gas bottles, one of which exploded and caused a fire. The driver was killed, according to the police. 

The killed motorist was found "in the vicinity" of the car, a spokesperson for the fire department said to NOS. The fire caused major damage to the town hall.

One of the two Dutch who were seriously injured during an attack in Munster in April, passed away. The 56-year-old man from Albergen succumbed to his injuries, his family confirmed to RTV Oost.

The man had been kept in a coma for months and underwent dozens of surgeries. His girlfriend was also injured in the attack, sustaining multiple fractures.

One of the men arrested in connection with the murder of Reduan B., brother to Nabil B. - a key witness in a number of Utrecht and Amsterdam assassination cases, is a member of te Caloh Wagoh Main Triad motorcycle club. The suspect arrested for firing a rocket launcher at the building housing Panorama and Nieuwe Revu in Amsterdam last week, is also a member of this club, a source told the Telegraaf.

The police managed to track the routes taken by both vehicles used in an attack on De Telegraaf building on Basisweg in Amsterdam early on Tuesday morning. Both the white Volkswagen Caddy used to crash into the building, and the black Audi A5 RS used as a getaway car were stolen and had fake license plates put on them, the police said in a statement.

De Telegraaf released surveillance camera footage of a van crashing into the newspaper's building on Basisweg in Amsterdam around 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

The video shows a white Volkswagen Caddy carefully driving between concrete flower boxes and crashing into the door. The van reverses, and crashes into the building again. A man gets out, open the van's back doors and throws something into the van, which causes the van to catch fire, before running off.

A man shot and killed two police officers and a passerby in the center of the Belgian city of Liege on Tuesday morning. He then took a cleaner hostage at a nearby school. The gunman was killed by the police. Prime Minister Mark Rutte expressed his condolences to his Belgian counterpart Charles Michel, he said on Twitter.

A man and a woman from the Overijssel town of Albergen were injured when a man crashed his camper van into a terrace in the German city of Munster on Saturday. Two people were killed and 20 injured, including the Dutch couple. The perpetrator shot himself after the incident. The German authorities believe that this was not a terrorist attack, but a suicide by a man with psychiatric problems, ANP reports.

Two gay men were attacked in Dordrecht over the weekend shortly after meeting someone on a date made on dating app Grindr. One victim had to go to hospital for treatment. The second managed to flee before being injured. The police believe the men may have been attacked due to their sexual orientation and are investigating whether the two incidents are connected.

The Netherlands is deporting two Russian diplomats to show solidarity with the United Kingdom following a poison gas attack on ex-Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter in England. Relatives of people who died in the MH17 disaster are upset that the Dutch government is doing so now, but did not send Russian diplomats away after the Malaysia airlines flight was shot down.

Dutch soldiers are again allowed to wear their uniforms in public. Minister Ank Bijleveld of Defense lifted the ban that was implemented in 2014 due to an increased threat of attacks on soldiers by jihadists, according to a Defense memorandum that will be published on Monday, ANP reports.

"The army has the task of protecting our kingdom and its allies. So it is also important that you are recognizable and approachable", the Minister said. According to her, the ban is being lifted at the express wish of Dutch soldiers.

Taxi drivers in the Netherlands are planning an attack on Uber's head office in Amsterdam. According to messages sent on Telegram group 'WegMetUber', taxi drivers plan to storm the Uber office with fire bombs, AD reports.

The newspaper came across the group chat on messaging service Telegram, which now has around 300 anonymous members. A recent call on the group states that the attack is planned at 4:00 p.m. on March 20th. "Everything and everyone is welcome. Bring your bricks, fireworks and molotovs with you!" the call reads.

A 22-year-old man was attacked in Amsterdam West on New Year's Day by a group of men. They called him a "cancer faggot" and left him injured and with two broken teeth.

The victim was on his way to his bike after celebrating New Year's Eve at a friend's house in West. It was around 6 a.m. and the bike was parked near to the club De School. "While I was busy with my bike's chain, I heard a group of people behind shouting at me," the victim told Het Parool through his uncle, "They insulted me for being a faggot and then beat me up."

Rotterdam DJ April Grey was attacked twice by the same man over the past months. Both attacks happened early on a Sunday morning, after she was done playing at club Nora on Coolsingel in the city. And both times the man tried to maim her face. On Tuesday the police shared the man's description on Opsporing Verzocht, in the hope that information from the public will lead to an arrest.

Over 20 people were killed and more than 100 injured when a gunman opened fire on visitors of the Route 91 Harvest festival in Las Vegas on Monday morning, Dutch time. The Las Vegas police currently believe that the gunman acted alone, and while the motives of the perpetrator is unknown, they aren't calling it a terrorist attack as yet. A number of Dutch are currently on holiday in Las Vegas and witnessed the aftermath of the attack. "We ran for our lives", one of them, Koen Nederhof, said to RTL Nieuws.
