Man found dead in Uitgeest home filled with cannabis plants
The body of a man was found in a home on Benesserlaan in Uitgeest on Monday afternoon. The home also contained several dozen cannabis plants. The police are investigating.
The police found the deceased man at around 4:00 p.m. It is unclear why the police went to check the home.
Forensic investigators are working to find out how he died, a police spokesperson told ANP. The police are not ruling out a crime. “However, we also cannot rule out that the man died of natural causes. Further investigation will have to determine that.”
The police have released no information about the man’s identity. It is unclear whether he was a resident of the home. It is also unclear whether the cannabis plantation found inside it belonged to him.
“We hope to be able to report more on Tuesday,” the police spokesperson said.
