Video: Police struggling to identify woman found dead in Delft ditch
The body of a woman was found in a ditch along the Mandjeskade in Delft on Thursday. The police are struggling to identify her. The cause of her death is also still under investigation.
A passerby noticed the woman’s body in the water at the Mandjeskade, near the Vockestaertpad, at around 10:45 a.m. on Thursday. Emergency services responded to the scene, and the fire brigade retrieved her body from the water.
The police immediately launched an investigation, but cannot yet say who the woman is or how she died. Investigators asked anyone who may know her to come forward.
According to the police, the woman is white and about 30 years old. She had a normal build and medium-length blond hair. She was wearing a silver ring with a green gemstone and had two distinctive tattoos, one on her left forearm, the other around her lower abdomen.
“Do you think you know who the woman is, or do you have information that could help the police in their investigation? If so, please contact us,” the police said.
