Abdeslam had documents from German nuclear site near Dutch border

Documents of German nuclear research center Juelich was found in the Brussels apartment of Paris attacks suspect Salah Abdeslam, Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland (RND) group of German newspapers reported on Thursday. Juelich is located 27 kilometers from the border between Germany and the Netherlands. According to RND, sources within the German parliamentary control committee stated that they were informed about the documents at the end of March. Hans-Georg Maassen, head of German intelligence service BfV, told the committee that most of the Juelich-related documents were printouts of internet articles and photos of Juliech chairman Wolfgang Marquardt. Juelich is located near both the Netherlands' and Belgium's border with Germany. It is used to store nuclear waste. The center released a statement saying that there is no indication that the facility was ever in any danger, Reuters reports. They are in contact with security authorities and nuclear supervisors. Abdeslam is a prime suspect in the case around the terrorist attacks in Paris on November 13th last year. The authorities believe he provided transport for the terrorists who committed the attacks. Abdeslam was arrested in Brussels on March 18th, four days before terrorist attacks in the Belgian capital that left more than 30 people dead. According to Sky News there are rumors that the Brussels bombings were planned for Easter weekend, but were moved up in case Abdeslam revealed the plans to the authorities after his arrest.
