British fugitive arrested in Amsterdam
British fugitive Patrick Adams was arrested in Amsterdam on Friday. His wife Constance was also arrested, NOS reports.
International arrest warrants had been issued against the duo in connection with a shooting in London in 2013. A 51 year old man was open fired upon while sitting in his SUV. He was hit in the chest, but survived the attempt on his life.
In May the London Metropolitan Police announced that they two may be hiding in the Netherlands or Spain. Adams and his wife, aged 59 and 54 respectively, are in custody and will remain so pending there extradition back to Britain.
Adams is the younger brother of crime boss Terry Adams, also called the "godfather of North London", according to NOS. Along with their other brother Sean, they have been running a criminal network sometimes called the "A-Team" for 30 years. This network is suspected of involvement in drug trafficking, extortion, hijacking and fraud.
