Five people, including children, hospitalized after car overturns on A50

Five people, including children, were hospitalized after a car crash, Omroep Brabant reports. Their car veered off the A50 highway, struck a pole, and overturned into a ditch near Sint-Oedenrode early Sunday.

The single-vehicle crash happened around 1:30 a.m. on the stretch from Veghel toward Eindhoven, just before the Sonse Heide gas station in Noord-Brabant.

All five occupants were taken by ambulance to a hospital. The severity of their injuries was not immediately known. Police are investigating.

The car sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene by a recovery company. One lane of the A50 was temporarily closed for emergency services.
