Video: Police search for driver that struck pedestrians in Middelburg

Authorities in the Dutch city of Middelburg are searching for a driver after he hit several people Saturday evening. Police are also investigating a possible link to a fight earlier on Kromme Weele.

Police said the vehicle first crashed into a building on Molenberg. It then struck multiple pedestrians, with the driver fleeding the scene afterward.

Officers found one injured person at the location. Bystanders reported that more people had been hurt. Those individuals had already left before police arrived, and their injuries have not been confirmed.

Police described the damage to the building as significant. They also said the car likely sustained heavy damage in the collision.

Investigators are now searching for the driver, injured victims, and witnesses.
