Three killed in traffic collision in Geleen; Police investigating

Three people were killed Sunday afternoon in a traffic collision on the Professor van Krevelenstraat in Geleen, police said. The crash was reported around 1:15 p.m. in the Limburg town.

Authorities confirmed the deaths shortly after the incident and said multiple emergency services rushed to the scene. Police, ambulances, and other responders were deployed in large numbers, AD reported.

The exact circumstances of the crash remain unclear. Police said investigators are working to determine how the collision occurred and what vehicles were involved.

The site of the crash was closed off while emergency workers operated in the area. No details about the victims, including their identities or ages, have yet been released.
