Updated at 9:30 to include arrest details.
Two people were injured Friday night in a shooting in the Katendrecht district of Rotterdam, where both a car and a house were struck by gunfire, police said.
The police have arrested three people in connection with a shooting. The suspects are a 50-year-old man and a 27-year-old man from Rotterdam, and a 28-year-old man without a fixed residence.
The incident happened around the Walhallalaan, where a gunman opened fire on a white car before fleeing in the direction of the Brede Hilledijk, AD reported.
Both victims were already gone when officers arrived at the scene and are believed to have taken themselves to a hospital. Police said a bullet also hit the window of a first-floor home during the shooting.
Special intervention officers from the Dienst Speciale Interventies (DSI) and police monitored a residence at Buizenpark believed to be connected to the suspect. An eventual raid was carried out at the location, though it remained unclear whether anyone was arrested.
