Summer weather back in Netherlands next week

The Netherlands can look forward to real summers weather next week, with high temperatures and little chance of rain. There is even a good chance of a regional heatwave in the southeast of the country, according to Weeronline.

Maximums next week will range between 25 and 30 degrees. The southeast may even see temperatures climb to 34 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday. The chance of rain and thunderstorms is very small, according to the weather service.

For a heatwave, temperatures must reach at least 25 degrees for five consecutive days, and three of those days must see maximums of 30 degrees or higher. There is a 60 percent chance of this happening in the southeast of the country next week. The chance of a national heatwave is small at 25 percent.

But first there are still a few days of cloudy an cooler weather to get through. The chance of rain and thunderstorms is greatest on Thursday and Saturday, Maximum temperatures will range between 22 degrees on the coast, 24 degrees inland and 26 degrees in the southeast until Saturday. Sunday will be slightly warmer, according to Weeronline.

The little to no chance of rain next week is bad news for the eastern parts of the country, where waterboards implemented an irrigation ban due to low water levels.
