Woman shot multiple times in Rotterdam office building, suspect at-large

A 34 year old woman was shot multiple times at the entrance of a business complex on Zuidplein in Rotterdam where she works. The perpetrator fled in the direction of Strevelsweg. The shooting happened around 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning. The seriously injured woman was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. The police believe that the woman knows the perpetrator - a man with a slightly tinted complexion of about 1.76 meters tall. He has several tattoos, including on his arm, abdomen and legs and scars on his lips, according to Dichtbij. The police immediately launched an extensive search in the area, also deploying a helicopter. The man's description was spread through Burgernet. So far there is no sign of him. A forensic investigation was done at the scene of the shooting and camera images have been secured. The police have also spoken to several witnesses. A man matching the suspect's description was arrested on Sikkelstraat. He was released after questioning revealed that he had nothing to do with the shooting.
