Man badly hurt in Rotterdam shooting; Police looking for young shooter

A 27-year-old man was seriously injured in a shooting in Rotterdam on Monday evening. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. The police are looking for a young suspect - the Burgernet description estimates the suspected shooter at around 15 years old.

The shooting happened at around 6:50 p.m. on Sluiskreek in Rotterdam. Emergency services responded in large numbers. First responders resuscitated the victim, a local, at the scene before rushing him to a hospital. His current condition is unknown.

The suspect fled after the shooting, and the police are looking for him. According to the description shared on the citizens’ notification network Burgernet, the suspected gunman is a boy of around 15 with dark skin and dressed in black clothing, including a black cap. He was last seen fleeing on Midden Kreekpad.

The police are investigating what happened and asked witnesses and anyone with relevant information or camera footage to come forward.
