Romanian caught with 37 phones stolen from Tomorrowland fest

A 39 year old Romanian man was arrested at Eindhoven Airport on Monday afternoon. He was carrying 39 cell phones, believed to have been stolen at the Tommorowland festival in Belgium. The suspect was at the airport waiting for a flight back to Romania when the Koninklijke Marechaussee, Royal Military Police, decided to check him. They found 37 phones on his person. Some of them were wrapped in aluminum foil, which led the Koninklijke Marechaussee to believe they were stolen. An investigation was launched which revealed that at least some of the phones were stolen at the Tomorrowland festival in Belgium this weekend. Some of the phones owners have already been found. The Koninklijke Marechaussee requests that other victims whose phones were stolen during the festival contact them to report the crime. The suspect is in custody on suspicion of handling stolen goods and money laundering. The Koninklijke Marechaussee's investigation continues, led by the Public Prosecutor.
