New details of Zwolle street execution revealed
The Department of Justice has released new footage relating to the murder of 48-year-old Robert Voorhorst in Zwolle last week, and is asking for witnesses to help in identifying the culprits, the Algemeen Dagblad reports. In the television program Opsporing Verzocht, security footage shows a car driving at high speed past a roundabout close to the home of the victim in the Akkerbergstraat.
Police believe that this may be the escape vehicle used by the shooters, who released over a dozen bullets, killing the victim in his car, as the footage was taken at around the same time police believe that the culprits fled the scene. Four days after the murder, on the 7th of September, police found a burning Volvo V50 abandoned on the side of the Knarweg in Lelystad. If witnesses can place this vehicle type near the crime scene at around 5:45 a.m., then it may be the very same vehicle used by the culprits. The Volvo appeared to have been stolen in Lelystad in January of this year, with the license plate 14-RD-SB. Police call the timing "quite conspicuous", but cannot yet link the vehicle with the crime.
The police has offered a reward of €15,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the people behind the murder of Robert Voorhorst in Zwolle
