Gov't investigates 112 failures

Parliament is calling on residents in the border regions to speak up about their experiences with the emergency number 112, which seems to be unreachable for some. Parliament wants to know how big the problem is, Spits reports. According to Spits, complaints have come from people living in Drenthe, Groningen and Gelderland about not being able to reach the emergency number. One person has died as a consequence, as the ambulance could not be called. Parliament will have a special meeting about 112 on the 10th of September. In Drenthe, a special website has been set up by RTV Drenthe to allow people to announce that they could not reach the emergency services.
