Slobodan Praljak passed away after on Wednesday, the Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Plenkovic, confirmed on Wednesday afternoon. A spokesperson for the Tribunal also confirmed that the former army leader and convicted war criminal died in a hospital in The Hague, NU.nl reports.

The Dutch SS war criminal Siert Bruins has passed away at the age of 94. Bruins had been living in Germany. He fled to the country after the war, and Germany refused to extradite him because he had German nationality.

Dutch war criminal Siert Bruins will not have to go to prison for the murder of resistance fighter Aldert Klaas Dijkema in 1944. The Public Prosecution Authority in Germany has retracted the appeal to convict Bruins for murder, the court in Hagen, Germany reports.
