The Dutch prosecutor's office, OM, waited about four days to notify the cabinet that the man suspected of carrying out a terrorist attack in Berlin also spent time in the Netherlands after the incident. Dutch authorities ultimately notified Minister Ard van der Steur (Security and Justice) that the suspect, Anis Amri, traveled through the Netherlands, Van der Steur said in answer to parliamentary questions on Thursday.

Opposition parties were angered by the delay in notifying the cabinet minister, calling it an apparent lack of urgency among the Dutch authorities.

Anis Amri, the man responsible for an attack on a Christmas market in Berlin on December 19th, traveled through the Netherlands after the attack, according o Italian and French media Italian newspapers La Republica and Corriere della Sera report that a SIM card was found in his bag that was only distributed in the Netherlands, NOS reports.

On December 19th, Amri drove a truck ino a Christmas market in Berlin. He was shot and killed by the Italian police in Milan four days later.

An attack on the Christmas market in Berlin on Monday played a big role in the decision to cancel the event, school director Herman Langhorst said to De Stentor. This needs to change as soon as possible, was the sentiment in the Tweede Kamer during a debate on the attack in Berlin on Monday, the Telegraaf reports.

The Tweede Kamer is the lower house of Dutch parliament.

PostNL fired one of its drivers with immediate effect on Monday for a Facebook post in which he praised the bombing in Istanbul, Turkey over the weekend. The Dutch postal service confirmed the dismissal on Facebook and Twitter, following an outraged storm of reactions.

"Too bad there were only 20 deaths, there should have been many more. At least those 29 aren't coming here, great." The man wrote on Facebook

A 26-year-old pregnant woman arrested in September was extradited by Serbia to the Netherlands this week. The woman, identified as Ramona S. from Maastricht, was taken into custody in Belgrade.

Now seven months pregnant, authorities believe she wanted to carry out terrorist attacks on behalf of ISIS. Her arraignment was expected to be held on Friday.

Maastricht suspected terrorist is returning to the Netherlands next week, according to Limburg broadcaster L1. Serbia is extraditing the very pregnant 26-year-old woman and she is scheduled to land on Schiphol airport on Thursday.

Ramona S. was arrested in Belgrade with her Belgian-Turkish husband seven weeks ago. The authorities suspect her of trying to travel to Syria with the intent of joining a terrorist organization.

Journalist Bud Wichers from the Gelderland village of Gorssel was injured near irkuk in Iraq on Friday. He had to jump out of the way of a sniper bullet and sustained bruises and fractures in the fall, according to the Gelderlander.

The BNR journalist was taken to hospital for treatment, where one arm was put in a cast. Wichers is in Iraq reporting on fighting between ISIS combatants and their opponents. 

The day before Wichers also escaped death when a mortar shell landed a few meters away from his car in Mosul and did not explode.

Dutch companies were involved in large scale VAT fraud, the proceeds of which were used to finance terrorism, according to television program Zembla based on its own investigation.

According to Zembla, using the trade of so-called CO2 certificates, the "biggest VAT fraud in history" was committed. The compulsory VAT on the certificates was not paid. Between 2008 and 2011 this amounted to between 5 billion and 10 billion euros in unpaid VAT.
