A person believed to be participating in a psychedelic healing session at a home in IJzendijke, Zeeland, died after suffering from health complaints. Authorities are investigating if the use of “hallucinatory products” led to the man’s death.

“This could be the cause of his discomfort, but that is still being investigated by doctors,” police said in a statement.

A 36-year-old man from Terneuzen was taken into custody as a suspect in the man’s death.

"It looks like Trump has a full agenda then", he said on television program WNL op Zondag. A tanker and a cruise ship collided on the Westerschelde near Terneuzen during the early hours of Monday morning. Multiple people sustained minor injuries. One was taken to hospital by ambulance, the others were treated at the scene, local safety office Veiligheidsregio Zeeland said on Twitter.

Cruise ship Viking Indun and tanker Chemical Marketer collided around midnight. Both ships were damaged, but as the damage happened above the water line, neither of them took on water.

Geert Wilders and his PVV won city council seats seats in each one of the 30 municipalities the party participated in during the municipal elections on Wednesday. In total the PVV currently stands on 74 seats, the Volkskrant reports.

During the previous municipal elections four years ago, the PVV only participated in two municipalities - Almere and The Hague. The party got fewer seats in those two municipalities this time around. In Almere the party dropped from nine to seven seats, and in The Hague from seven to two seats.

A total of 78 municipalities in the Netherlands are implementing firework-free zones over New Year's this year, AD reports based on a survey of 300 municipalities. These zones are areas within municipalities in which no fireworks may be lit. They're usually located around hospitals, animal shelters or childcare facilities.

There are only three new names on the list of municipalities implementing firework-free zones this year - Ede, Terneuzen and Weesp. The other 75 municipalities also implemented firework-free zones last year.

The Terneuzen police found five stowaways, three men and two women, in the back of a truck on Tuessday. One man is from Ethiopia, the rest are from Eritrea, NOS reports.

The truck, with a Spanish driver, was traveling to Vlissingen. While it was driving through th Sluiskil tunnel, one of the stowaways poked his head through the sail on top of the truck and was spotted by a special detection system.

Cocaine smuggling in various of the Netherlands' coastal areas is increasing considerably, according to the mayors of these areas. The problem is a "big and growing concern" and doesn't get enough priority, Rob van der Zwaag, mayor of Veere and chairman of the Association of Zeeland Municipalities, said to the Telegraaf.

Dutch sailboat Capella capsized off the Belgian coast on Saturday morning after its keel broke. Ship designer Frans Maas (79) and sailor Freddy Franssens (70) from Breskens were killed. As of 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, 18-year-old Hannes Goedgebeur from Terneuzen was still missing, according to the Volkskrant. Three others were rescued.

A 46-year-old man woke up wounded on the street in Terneuzen on Tuesday night with no idea what happened to him. The police are looking for witnesses.

The 46-year-old man went for a walk at around 7:30 p.m., something he does on a regular basis. Then he woke up near a pedestrian crossing on Rooseveltlaan with a massive headache and a bleeding injury on his upper body. 

He tried to stumble home, but couldn't manage to do so. He therefore knocked on the door of a nearby acquaintance, who called an ambulance. This happened around 8:15 p.m.
